Personal: I am married to my college sweetheart who is from Ohio and is the one who convinced this Kenyan to start running, hahaha.I hated it at first but finally came around and wish I had started sooner.

| | Fartlek and hills. Made the mistake of grabbing soul food before the run which was done in the afternoon and not my usual morning. Also had a minor headache but glad I got the run in. Was planning on 4 miles but ended up on the 2. Tomorrow's another day.

| | Beautiful morning in Los Angeles today. Weather was nice and cool enough and I managed to get out there early enough with my husband who did 6 miles.

| | Good run today, it was rainy in the morning but quickly cleared. Had breakfast early enough and got time to call family and let the food settle before heading out for the run. My left leg started to hurt a little during the final lap but it subsided.

| | Good run today. Weather was beautiful and it was in the 60s! Finished strong.

| | Tired legs today but I got in the miles I needed to....had to do some run/walks in the beginning. Ran after work as opposed to before work in the morning. Hate running in the PM but glad I got the miles in....

| | Pushed myself to run faster than usual, was playing music from my iphone so that helped too.

| | Ran in the afternoon did the two mile loop twice. Been playing music on my runs this week and I love it!

| | Instead of driving to the park, I decided to run around my block for the first time and actually enjoyed it, it was convenient....not sure why I haven't been doing that....just run where I live as opposed to having to drive far to run. I will try to incorporate my weekly runs to around the neighborhood and maybe my long runs will be in the park.

| | Beautiful day again, ran early in the morning with my husband.

| | Weather was great, did 3 loops of 2 miles each. Was done by 9am which was good as it was just beginning to get warm when I was done.

| | Beautiful weather in Los Angeles this morning. Did 4 miles loops around my neighborhood. It was too dark in the morning due to daylight savings time to run in the park.
Still, made for a good run and I am glad I got it done first thing in the morning.

| | Ran 6 miles after work. Usually I only run 4 miles if it is a weekday and 6 miles on the weekend so it was nice to push myself although now I am so tired!

| | Had a good run this morning was done by 9:30am and it was getting a little warm outside.
My legs were really tight during that first mile but I finished strong.

| | Recovery run today. Trying to get used to adding a recovery run as opposed to taking the day off, my body felt like I could do it. Trying to be careful because in the past when I have run back to back day after day I have been injured.

| | Had a hair appointment earlier in the morning so by the time I got to the Silverlake reservoir, it was very warm outside. The last 2 miles were hard but glad I got it all in!

| | Great run today. I thought I would be still sore from the 8 mile long run on Sunday but was still feeling good.

| | Indianapolis Half Marathon
Started out well but half way through the race developed extreme lower back pain, even walking the remaining 5 miles was very painful. But thank God, I finished.

| | first run since the half marathon last Saturday. Felt good, legs started out sore but ended up finishing strong. Was worried about my sore back but it held up well.
Glad to be back to running after taking a few days off.

| | Felt like I could have run 2 more miles but needed to drive husband back to get to work on time.
Planning to run 6 miles next Sunday and hopefully keep adding the miles to the long run.

| | Went for an early morning run before work today! It was a great start to the day.

| | Early run this morning before work. Tried to incorporate a faster pace the last 2 miles of the run. Was a beautiful morning in Los Angeles!

| | Wonderful weather this morning in Los Angeles. Did my morning 4 miles and cut 10 minutes out of my regular time.

| | Ran / walked as my knees are still reocovering. I need to get some new shoes.

| | Woke up at 5am and had a piece of toast then ran before work. It is so hot in los angeles!

| | Good run this morning. My legs are feeling better and stronger.

| | Had trained at SM stairs yesterday with Muri so legs were pretty sore this morning. Foam rolled then headed out this morning and managed 4 miles.

| | Great run this morning with Muri. I had done some leg workout at the gym yesterday but thankfully my legs still felt strong today.

| | Felt great as the weather this morning was not as hot in the early morning. I found a nice bench where I now take the time to stretch following the run.

| | Trained legs at the Santa Monica stairs with Terry. Got a good leg workout!

| | I could not run yesterday as I needed to let my ankle heal from a small accident I had on Monday. Felt a lot better this morning so went for my 4 miles with my husband. I managed to run up the hill that always bothers me, twice!

| | Did 10k at the beach with LA Leggers. Day was so hoooooot but glad I got it in

| | Early morning run, day was a little cooler which was good. My ankles were a little tight but got better as the run went on. I stretched at the end and have found the Sunday yoga routine to have also helped with the tightness.

| | Beautiful views running at the beach today, we also ran up Temescula and to the Palisades. Views were great.
I followed up with yoga and it helped a lot with the stretching.

| | Was feeling a little sick and tired this morning so decided to run in the evening after work at Silverlake. It was a good cool evening and I had a good run. Felt good after taking time off following the weekend's long run.

| | Ran 14 miles on Saturday in 3 hours. Legs felt really tired during the last 4 miles and the sun was getting hotter. Glad to have gotten the run in! I hope my time gets better but so far I am glad to be running with less injuries.

| | Ran for about an hour this morning.

| | First day back to running after taking time off following surgery. Felt generally good although had a little tightness on the incision area but nothing crazy.
